Anyone have a list of kvk2 makers?

    Hi Guys,
To be more precise, I am looking to see if anyone has a list of the maker marks stamped on the rings of kvk2s. Both with and without swords. I tried a search without success. Any help would be appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance.
    Sincerely Andy B.

    Hi Andy,

Can't remember seeing a list of KVK makers ... only hope Gordon's book comes out soon:

So am I. However Chris Ailsby's (Warlord) book "A Collectors guide nto: WORLD WAR 2 GERMAN MEDALS AND POLITICAL AWARDS" lists the following:

          KVK2 with swords

          4, 14 (in square), 18, 19, 34, 43, 45, 56, 57, (in oblong box), 101, 113, Jakob Bengel

I am assuming the name is from an envelope.
From my collection I can add the following:

          53, 67, 100, L11, L58,

For the KvK2 without Swords he list's the same numbers and I can also add:

          50, 52, 55, 66.

          Hope this helps

            Thanks Laurence
To add to that list I have:
            w/swords: 87
w/o swords: 88, 60 (at least is looks like a 60 with the top of the 6 cut off).

Anyone have a list of 1st Class? The list must be fairly short. Surprisingly, you dont see very many different makers of these. They tend to fall into about 9-10 manufacturers.

I can also think of "L15" and "L/58" as accepted makers of the KVK 1 with swords.

I can add that the maker "11" for second class with swords is Grossmann & Co. Wien

                            I received "25" (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Graveur-Gold-und Silberschemiede-Innungen
Hanau) and "60" (Katz u. Dehle Pforzheim) marked 2nd class w/swords in a small grouping.

                            best
