KVK1 with Swords - Real or Fake ?

    Hello

Quite some time ago I posted photos of this KVK1 with Swords. Some thought it may be a genuine item but the pictures I had posted were, to say the least, not very good or clear. These pictures are scans of the front or back. Unfortunately the pin is missing. It weighs 24 grams and measures 48mm x 48mm when measuring from point to point.

Can anyone say if this is the real thing or a fake. Any and all opinions welcomed.

    Many thanks.

    Regards
    David

Looks good to me, but wait for the big fishes to say their opinion.

Could you please show a side view of the catch? Thank you! Charlie. Perhaps this thread will help, http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=102204 Look at the one mm65 very closely!

          Hello

Thanks for the replies. When I originally posted this item I suggested that it was a Floch, in fact I said that having read the articles that I considered this one to be by Floch, but both George Stimson and Frank Heukemes said that they didn't think this was a Floch. Frank went as far as to state that he didn't think it was fake at all and George concurred with this - hence my reposting of it now.

So you can possibly understand my confussion ! One thing I should point out is that I have the broken pin for the back, (although because I was that convinced this is a fake I tossed into a box and now can't find the pin !!), and this was shown on the original photos. A link to my original thread is below.

I'll get some side on photos later and post them. Perhaps then this can be decided one way or the other.

          Regards
          David
