Here is one I found on a dealer site. Marked 2 and 800 on the suspension loop. I normally hate these large pictures but in this case I did it on purpose so that the knowlegeable members might be able to view the pics better.

Sorry guys, this is what happens when a computer idiot is at the controls. I'm not able to make the pic larger.

Jeff, likely a post war assembled S&L w/ a 'fantasy' marked loop.....

Thanks Dave, I did some searches yesterday and could not find anything like it. Looks like some sucker might lose 8.6K since this is at a "reputable dealer". It is being advertised as a juncker. best wishes,

              That's really too bad...

Will you say who the dealer is?
              Regards,

Bruce has come a long way in a few years and best of all accepts a 'critique' well....

He did confide that Knight's Crosses weren't his 'thing' so no harm no foul with his offering (so far)!

                      Dave,
Any thought that folks will be unloading those S&L RKs due to Dietrich's detective work? I am sure many dealers are unaware...

Marc..the dealers have known for years that a 'certain type' of S&L was post war!!

They have called them 'early', 'late' and even attributed 'iron shortages' and 'rushed manufacturing' to account for the type

Yes, I'm sure a lot of poor folks will be looking to off-load but as far as dealers are concerned they KNOW...otherwise this 'type' of S&L wouldn't be consistantly priced 25% less than others they offer!
                        Regards,
                        Dave
