    Latest find.........

    Hi
    This is my latest find.
The story behind the find, is quite nice, just showing that the stuff is still out there !
Last summer, I met this lady, who had a table at the local flea market in Flensburg. I asked her if she had any militaria from the war. She said yes, she believed she had something from her uncle. I got her phonenumber and called her once a month in 6 months, but nothing, just the same story, no time to look for it, mayby it had been thrown out .........etc
Since November i didn't call, I guess I had given up hope. Then 3 weeks ago thought I would give it a last try................bingo........she found a small box containing the left over from her uncle!!!!!!

This was what I picked up.............

Since I am no "medal" guy and I know, many veterans after the war have been buying awards, they lost lost during the war or as POWs I would like comments on this EK 1, just to be sure it's not a post-war piece which have been added later
No makers mark on the piece

The EK1 is a early genuine S&L in my opinion.

                        Cheers.

I'd ceratinly agree with S&L - maybe not early but at least earlyish as the cross appears to be engraved for 1941.

Interesting combination of enlisted man's shoulder straps but also officers boards & hat strap.

                          Regards
