    RK - value ???

    Hi
I know the collector who is speculating to sell his RK. The problem is - paint was gone and he had repainted it !!!!
From the other hand - I am thinking how it will look on my display.
Cross is without ribbon , marked 800 on the frame and on loop- believe common Juncker.
I should revert with pictures by Monday pm.

Any advices from your side with reliable price for it ??

    Thanks and regards

I do not want to ruin a deal, but are you sure that the cross is genuine? The 800 mark could be found on many RK's. Not only Juncker.

    Cheers.

Midas, stay away at any price...it's a reproduction.

As an aside it doesn't in any manner 'look like' a Juncker.
            Regards,
            Dave

                  bad kc

the medal pictured is a poor copy of the knights cross. a bargain kc will usually be an item you would wish to have never purchased. stick to a textbook example, buy it from an established dealer with a return policy, and if possible get it at a major show where you can have more than one opinion on the cross. you may be able to find a bargain iron cross second class, but NOT a bargain KC.

OK, it has already been said, but once again: save your money and leave this crap!

Midas, in deference to your friend and to be clear about my statement of not looking anything like a period Juncker this 'type' of fake many years ago was put forth as a Juncker.

People relied on the very prominent Swaz and the weight and disregarded other very obvious signs.
                        Regards,
                        Dave

First time I've seen it about 2 years ago - as far as I remember I had better impression that time. While making pictures yesterday I had it first time in hands - details of frame convinced me already in totally opposite direction.
The cross was purchased in middle nineties , the core was covered with slight rust all over.
But as mentioned - I'll just forget it.
                          Thanks and regards
