The 'beauty' in 122

Hello All, I just wnated to post my latest find. At the military show here in Budapest I found a nice EK2 mm 122 (JJ. Stahl Strassburg) never seen one before and it just struck me how nice they are. I love the beading and the semi-pyramid swastika with the prononced pyramid dates. There is just something about the character of this one - even though its not 'mint' it has history and character. Wish I had more...

and the rear - look at the way the corners of the beading come together - thats craftmanship!

A cross like that is what makes collecting so interesting. The rounded inside corners of the beading is also a nice feature. Wish that was in my collection. A good find. Congratulations.

Thanks for all the comments - for some reason this manufacturer IMHO is a 'sleeper'. I have a '65' and two Godets, but this one seems to surpass them in my opinion. Now granted I dont have a Junker or an S&L yet...So many crosses, one lifetime....
