    1957 single piece ek2

Just thought of sharing what I found on ebay this morning. A single piece 1957 ek2 . The oaks are similar to those of late 1957 rks and not as those found on legit 1957 ek2s. Below is a picture to compare. Fake single piece on left, legit ek2 on right. Guys, fake 57ers are now showing up more . Take care when hunting !!
MEDAL : 48mm x 48mm. One piece construction, but made to look like 3 pieces. Non magnetic.

    Hi Henri,

    Yes, auction number 6548507232.

At least the vendor states that it is a repro.

    Wonder where it originated from???

    Regards ...

      But wait; there's more.

      Check out 6555241248.

Again, item sold as a repro; I quote...

Up for auction is a superb quality restrike of the quicly becoming scarce 1957 version of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross.

      and

This is a skillfully done museum quality replica.

      Gee ...

All these awards seem to be emerging from Germany. At least that is from where they are being sold !!

I saw this one and was scratching my head , it doesn't look like a real one anyway , what they have done is used the 2nd pattern core off the Knights cross where the original EK1 , EK2 use the 1st pattern core . bad fake .

Very worrying these fakes starting to appear , i didn't think i,d see this for while at least until the prices were going through the roof i.e. the early 1st type RK,s but EK2,s ???? their not exactly expensive are they ?

Damn, and I had been thinking there are no copies of 57-ers...
