I am trying to find out information on the awarding of the Knights Cross to Albert Kerscher a Panzer tank crewman. I saw he was awarded the oak leaves to the cross in late April 1945, but I don't have any information on his originial Knights Cross award. If anyone that has any information on Albert Kerscher, I would greatly appreciate it if they would post it here.

Kerscher RK Award
Hi,
The only info I have on Albert Kerscher is from Walther Peer-Fellgiebel's book, page 254. He shows your man as:
Feldw.,Pz.Kdt. i.d. 2./schw. Pz.Abt. 502 and list his award date for the RK as 23.10.44. There is no additional listing for the Eichenlaub award.
I hope that this will help.

I had some correspondence with Kerscher a few years back. I'll try to dig it out and see what more info I can add.
