    EK I Screwback

Trying out a new camera, thought I'd post an item from my collection. Just an ordinary EK I screwback, but, one of those that still "talks to me" after 15 years. Any comments and thoughts are solicited and welcome, especially about who the manufacturer might have been.

It has a magnetic core, and is unmarked.
The arms are "bent". I would not consider it to be a "vaulted" piece.
Weight of cross: 18.8g; Weight of backplate: 3.9g
    Height/Width 44.4mm
The backplate appears to be of brass or brass alloy, the side to the cross has a silvery effect left to it.

Nice Greg - Can you do me a favor? The screw plate appears to cover the spike. What is the width of the plate? I have screw back case I am looking for a EK to put in it. The EK1 must have a 28mm or less screw plate that covers the spike. Yours looks close to that. To date, all decent ones I have seen are 29mm or more.

            Jeff,
The backplate is about 28.5mm in diameter, but doesn't cover the spike. See attached photo.

Hi franki, you need no better pictures to see, that this cross is not a L53 or L54

                            hello guys,

this EK was manufactured by the same maker who made those EK with the "wernstein" type of pin. just compare the numerals an the frame. 100% same maker.
