    Mass weight

What is the general mass weight of an EK1 with standard hinged clasp ? General range - ballpark ?

I have a friend in Munchen who is being offered one to buy and it looks flaky to me - he says his example is only 16 grams.

According to Gordon Williamson's book The Iron Cross of 1939, "L/11" and "L/55" EK 1s only weigh 15.5 g and 15.1 g, respectively.

Doesn't look too bad....do you have a picture of the back with the pin closed?
Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Back on target - here's a picture of the back with closed clasp.

Why do ask Matt Starr ? Enquiring minds want to know ?
