Hello everyone, can I have your kind opinion on this very worn DK ?
    Thank you and regards.

It looks like a heavy Gebrüder Godet marked "21" ... No plates on the back but I can't see well the typical beam distortions where are the rivets.

Here's one I had with a different rivet arrangement, for comparison purposes.

The rivets on the first one looks strange.

George DKiG rivets looks more textbook IMO

I think IMO the DKiG posted by Gil is not a original one.

I have tried to highlight at least 4 points of difference that I made straight away:

            - 1) : The profile is not the same, since the mold was the one for DKiG and DKiS

            - 2) : The distances of the rivets from the outside is different; In Godet models the rivets are positioned quite inside.

            - 3) : Different design catch.

            - 4) : Different design rivets.

The 21 design marking is different to the originals.

Here a comparision from an original 21 mm and those of DKiG posted.

The original was taken from this discussion where a DKiS Godet is shown and which has characteristics equal to that posted by George Stimson :

IMO Gew44 is right. This is not an original DKiG. It has more the looks of a Deschler cross instead of a Godet.

                  Thanks for posting more pictures.
IMO the first DKiG are a nice try but still a fake

                    Hi Wim,
                    good answer.

I ask you that : have you seen others original DKiG Godet 6 rivets with this "transitional harware"?

I ask sincerely because I've ever seen 6 rivets Godet with short pin.

Thanks a lot in advance for reply.

Hi, Gew44 not sure I can fully understand you… I'm only familiar with the hardware like showed in Dietrich's book: early without plates for the catch and hinge and late (light version) with plates underneath the catch and hinge. Have you seen Godet's with a short style pin like used on the early Deschlers?

                      Regards, Wim
