Did you manage to get a photo of a single splatter hole to see the definition of the best looking or 'pristine' splatter?

I can't stay away!!! However, I have said what I wanted about POST war made crosses and hints to determine a closer 'look see'!
But regarding 'splatter' and how it might relate to the A/B 1 or 2 die that I don't subscribe to here's some more of what I believe to be weld splatter....not a die flaw but debris that was transientLast edited by Dave Kane; 12-17-2006, 01:41 PM.Regards,

Here is what I would have considered as a mid/late war (maybe just before Prad. numbers are introduced) cross. Crisp, flawless, but with less finishing on the 'eye' and a mid/late era ribbon loop; iron core, 800 marked, lots of frosting, and weighing over 30g.
