Ok, the case came with an Iron Cross in it, didn't feel right but posted here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=993668
It does look like a Mothers Cross case but aren't they always embossed with the medal?
Thoughts?

Indeed Andrew. Besides that the catch is wrong compared with the Mothers Cross cases. It is probably just an old case and not WWII related.

It is not new. It is probable that it isn't German, or even military. Input appreciated.
