I believe that this type is a copy of the original type 5 as in the pinned thread.
The type 5 has also a little bigger "4". When comparing both shield you will notice some subtle differences.

No, not new. I have have this type on file for some time now. The one showed here was sold in 2012 if I'm not mistaken.
There are characteristics of both the variants of type 5 in this type. Never seen an original like this before.
The die flaw on the propeller is also never seen before on an original shield besides some other smaller points.
