Note that Müller is wearing a cuff title, that is of a much rarer manufacture than we usually see! A rare version!

I find it a little eerie looking at the studio portraits of soldiers wearing the Kurland cuff title. It is so late in the war, and the horrors they have lived through, but in that moment they just seem so serene and well dressed, as if Sunday service is but moments away. Makes me shiver a little every time.
