Hey guys...I know this is for "campaign" cuffs but I never get many replies in the SS forum. Have a collector interested in this one and he would feel better if I got some opinions....so I come to the people who have always been more than happy to help me *blush*

attached a pic....to compare, the embroidery on yours is well executed, but I have never seen it quite like that before....I don't have Scott Pritchetts excellent books with me right now so cannot look in these to see if he illustrates on like yours. The wool is usually doeskin, yours is not on doeskin as doeskin does not fray at the edges like that, doeskin is a very very tight weave and stable woolen fabric........

doeskin essentially looks and feels the "same" both sides....one side maybe "smoother" but very little difference
