The shields are original, but the second has replaced prongs and backplate.
As you can see the prongs of the second are not normal single prongs, but they are double, furthermore the back plate has a strange shape and these are both red flags.

The second shield looks suspicious to me, flaw in the elbow of the right wing and low detail pebbling which changes across the face of the shield. The first shield I like but the second I would pass on if offered to me.

            Both shields are original.

The second shield is IMO one of the rarest Krim shields you can find.
The shield is made of zinc and is always found with 3 double prongs, all original.
It is my opinion that this type of shield, like some other other Krim shields, was first made from zinc.
As it turned out that zinc was to sensitive (see the cracks on Pavel's shield) they switched to iron sheet.

I would be interested to find out of which material the backplate from the second shield was made. Metal or another material?

              Hi all,

thanks for details - any more opinions regarding the second shield are welcome.

Pascal- the upper material seems to be zinc - it is not magnetic and has a little zinc pest.
the backplate is magnetic - is made from steel - no idea about the prongs.

              Best regards
              Pavel

Everyday is a good day to learn something more on WAF.
Thanks Pascal, never seen or handled one before, and your theory about the zinc shield is very believable, so these zinc shield should be a very early production.
