Campaign Shield on a Africa Corps Uniform

    Hello all,

so im not confirm with Campaign Shields - i saw a picture of an Soldier in Africa Uniform and he had a campaign Shield on his shoulder.

Are this a shield for an africa campaign or something else?

No campaign shields for Afrika. Could have also been a Sudfront picture perhaps (Balkans, Italy, or Russia)?

This is a good question I would like to pursue about what units with a Krim shield would have served in Afrika.

I have a 1st pattern tunic with Krim shield acquired from the Collectors Guild I purchased years ago.

Some units which served on the Krim were issued tropical uniforms and equipment.

      Cheers,

It is also possible that a soldier that fought in Krim was wounded and after sent to a new unit in Africa or in the South front.
Surely the soldier don't wear an "African shield", but he could wear a Sonderverband patch for example...

          Thank you all!

I can post the Picture maybe tomorrow.

So there are Palms in the Backround - so i believe its mediteranien area.

I have read a biography on this individual basis scenario before.

Towarish: Thanks for your input to my question.
