The Lorient shield has never been in dispute. Originals have been known for a very long time. I have one that came from a French Doctor who had a few from a french inteligence soarce. David Littlejohn had one for many years. I also have the disk form with the Soldbuck.

Here is the example I got from the hotel buy. Notice they are stamped on a sheet and then hand trimmed using a metal shear...Tom

Is everything bas relief on the front except for the Eagle and swas? It looks as if the Eagle was stamped on after the shield was made ..could give some insight
