    Krimshield help plz

    Hi,

i am a newbie in collecting, and maybe anybody can help me.
I need some informations about the Krimshield. How can I recognize a fake? or what is common for fakes?
maybe, anybody can post a picture of a fake?
hope there will be some comments

    THANKS

    Hi quilldor.

When researching a Krimshield, you need to keep in mind that these were made by several different manufacturers, and because of this, you will likely find small differences from shield to shield.

Look for one with clean details, even swastika, things like that. These are not hard to find, but they have been faked extensively. Instead of asking for pictures of fake ones, you best bet would be to look for real ones to compare to. There are always new fakes coming on the market, and the real ones havent changed.

But since you asked....here is a repro on Mike Tuckers site in his repro section:

            Hello quilldor

If you click on the “Search” button near the top right corner of the page you can do a keyword search though all the previous postings on the forum. This is great way to access a wealth of information. On a quick search I found many previous threads regarding the Krim Shields. I really find this feature handy and use it often.

            P.S Welcome to the forum!
