KUBAN-Schild with provenance

KUBAN-Schild with provenance for comparison,
this KUBAN-Schild belonged to an Unteroffizier of the J******228;ger-Regiment 229,
101. J******228;ger-Division - It was removed by the owner from the sleve of his Uniform.
The shield is magnetic and slightly vaulted - the backing was left on the tunic.

I have been reading all of the posts regarding the KUBAN-Schild on this site.
A most interesting subject. It seemed from what I read, unless I misunderstood, that shields with the "G" in LAGUNEN having a bar are fake. So I wanted to post the above original shield with that "G"

Hi Hardy,
I think you misunderstood. There are at least two types with the horizontal bar in the "G" which I consider to be original.
The one you just posted is one of them. This is a late war shield. You can find this type with several levels of detail. Yours has still a high level of detail.
The earlier shields of this type had the prongs on the back.
