    Dear Luigi,
i also habe A DK from 21. The pin of my sure original which i got from my grandfather has a catch which looks not like catch of your badge. In my mind a very, very good reproduction.

      Luigi,
As I told you previously, I am 100% sure that this DKiG is not original - catch, enamel, rivets, size ....
Now, I believe that this example belongs to the new generation of fakes actually on the market.
I would like other collectors to give their opinion to Luigi who was fair enough to ask.
Helping each other is the clue, there is no bad answer, you can say that for you it is ok, it is not or simply "I don't know".
Because the day you will be proposed such a medal, you'd better know where you put your money.
So, again, I ask you to give your opinion to Luigi.
      Friendly
      François

        Dear Luigi.
I fully agree with above opinions.I had this "version" of the German Cross as my "copy of the week" at 28.6.2001.These crosses to crawl up from many holes now.Nice made, but too small (they have around 61x61 mm,but should have 63x63) also the weight is too low (63-64 grams instead of 70+) and as can clearly be seen on your brilliant fotos the enamel is not good enough.

            Luigi,
I concur with everyone else. One of the giveaways is the enamel, which is poorly done. It's a great looking repro, and will fool many. I hope you can return it for your money back.

              Only four (4) opinions?
Does that mean no knowledge OR no interest in a badge which can be your tomorrow.

I only have one DKiG to compare it to. Mine is marked "2" for Juncker. I can't compare the characteristics.....I can only say that the enamel job makes me feel very uncomfortable.

I cant add anything that has not already been said... its a bummer to have been caught on it.
I am also suprised that fewer people have taken an interest in this.
