    Hi Seba,
As we often say..."I could have sworn it was you".....I guess you'd remember a baton like that...Another collector with a goatee maybe, Wolfe or Hardin perhaps....I get those two confused too.

Carl, We need to contact Ranger and Feldjager(Mike) as to the next meeting. I think we should look at the possibility of us as a group going to the SOS show in February. Airfare prices are at an all time low and I believe prices on these awards we chase will drop also. We can get a Southwest $99 fare and pick up Rodney in Houston on the way to Louisville. We could split the cost of the rent car and share rooms. We could control our expenses much better as a group.

Ranger email us! Come on CPA, ask your MD wife if the wehrmacht cowboys can come over and ooooh and ahhh over a few cases of medals and beer.

    Vaya con Dios! Gary

Just got back from my trip. It was great to meet some of my fellow forumites, and to go to the MAX.

I was shocked at the prices there, and quite frankly, they were well over the top! I saw a mint cased GWL pilots badge for $1500, badges of other manufacturers were not far behind that.

I met Bill Shea who took some time to talk to me at his very busy table, and for that an extended 'thank-you'.

Seba was a great host, and introduced me to several other members and dealers. One highlight was the Wolf-Hardin table... lots of diamonds!! AND I handled a gold class balloon observer badge. (Which to me I still do not believe as original).

Hello and thanks to the other members I met, Shawn was a bit the worse for wear when I meet them in the Radisson Bar on the Friday evening, but Seba and I managed to get a few down our necks. It had been a long day and a long drive from DC to Pittsburgh, so I called it a night at about 10.30 to be fresh for the show on Saturday.

It had been a long time since I had even been to a good English show, but the items there were astounding!

Hopefully I'll make it again, with a bit more time to spend!

      Regards

      Rich

ps I am much better looking in the flesh, honest! Ha Ha!
