    2 Place Medalbar

I was in the right place at the right time to buy this two place bar...
KVK2 with swords and Italian Military Valour Medal in Bronze!!
Both medals are S&L's, the KVK has a few flaws on the 3 O'clock arm, but not many, the Valour medal has the usual dot patterns that we see on several S&L medals (Afrika, KVM etc.)
S&L made the Italian Valour medal in Gold, Silver and Bronze, the same die was used for all, as they all have the same dots and flaws!!
As far as I know, only a couple of Germans received the medal in the Gold class, so that one was really a collectors piece I guess?

Finish with a quick comparison shot of the only other bar I have with the Military Valour medal on it......
                      DSCF3541.jpg

This one is in Silver, while clearly postwar, it is in a different design with Italian style suspension.....who made the silver version I don't know?? Another German maker such as Deumer, or were these made in this style, postwar by any Italian medal makers???

I guess S&L did not plan to produce many Westwall medals (Post #4) post war!

                          Best,

                          Jeff

Have to get one of those!

I think this one probably almost got approved, but did not make the cut in the end.

You are the 57er medal whisperer!

                              Best,
