Enclosed are pictures of a post war set of a knight's cross with diamonds. I believe this is a S&L cross with a C-frame ("dipping ring" and weak dent row flaw). The core is non-magnetic and there is an incused "800" mark under the ring.
The diamonds are IMHO very well made but there are no stones in the sword hilt. There are no markings and the overall height is 35mm by 30mm in total width. The numbers of stones are 51. This set match very much the "Diamonds Display Set" pictured in Stephen Previtera's book "The Iron Time" (second edition 2007) on page 447.
Any comments/corrections would be very much appreciated!
Question: Is it possible to say when this post war set approximately was made?
