Alex you have some of the most amazing items I've seen in your collection. That really is a very nice example you've picked up. I am hugely jealous

            Alex,

What a truly stunning example of an S&L Pour le Mérite, and cased too!!

Well done on obtaining such a beautiful award for your collection. I recently got one for my own collection, and I cannot take me eyes of it!

            Best regards
            Pierce

Anymore of these and I might have to get into the ring and start collecting. Nicest I've seen - fantastic with the addition of the case. Good show!

              Regards,
              Rudy

Spectacular. That about sums it up! I like the layout you have set up with the other awards. Are the grand cross and Hindenburgstern S&L peices too?

Thanks. Yes, the Hindenburgstern and the Grand Cross are also S&L pieces. The Grand Cross uses the identical case as the PLM series. I also have the 1813 and 1939 Grand Cross by S&L. Both of them also use the same case.

Thanks for getting back. Could we get close ups of both the Grand Cross and the Hindenburgstern - front and back w any markings, perhaps in their own thread? I think it would really benefit the 57er forum.

                      Cheers,
                      Erik
