Andrew, it looks fine to me and may have the bonus of being an early example of a "Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen fur Angestellte und Arbeiter der freien Wirtschaft", notoriously difficult to detrmine in a photograph are the polished highlights of such an early version.........are the highlights of the award polished ?
I have just acquired one of these, a nice looking award............see here http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=740334
Prost ! Steve.
Hi Andrew!!
I agree with Steve............
From what I see it looks pretty good, polished highlights are the sign of an early piece, but the highlights can become duller on some pieces.
The late made collectors pieces, usually have a poorer gold and silver colouring, no polished highlights, and a very thin suspension ring, non of these features appear on yours, so I would say it looks early!!!
Do you have the weight of the piece, that would also be useful???
