    Ek ii

    Hello,

I recently bought this ek2, someone has an idea of the manufacturer and of the period?

    Best regards
    Laurent

Looks like a maker mark on the ring, but I can't make it out ? Over all it looks like a S&L IMO. Tom

        Hi Laurent.

This is a very nice "Deumer"! (mm "3")
Very early example from the late 50's!

        Best regards.

              Hi Laurent!
              Indeed a nice Deumer!!
              A couple of questions......
Is the core paint matt black, or slightly glossy, its hard to tell from the pics, and does the core rattle loosely inside the frame??
That will date it to either late 50's or into the 60's!!

Laurent, always nice to add a Deumer to your collection, that's a nice example !
............is that a "3" on the suspension ring ?
Nigel, a question..........like St u L, is it only early examples of Duemers EK II that have the old "Prasidialkanzlei des Fuhrers Lieferant" number upon the suspension ring ?
                Prost ! Steve.

                  Hi Steve!!
                  Good question!!!
The S&L EK2's only seemed to be MM'd from the earliest period, late 50's, up to maybe 1960, but not after that, in contrast, every Deumer EK2 I've ever seen has been MM'd, there could be some unmarked ones out there, but I haven't personally seen one so far!!
Either Deumer had a hell of a lot of old wartime ribbon rings to use up, or they just marked them all????

I'm not sure this is marked a "3" or just a tear

                        Hi.

Tom. Yesterday reinforced my eyes scotch whiskey! You can see more!
Normally, I do not see anything ... so I be silent!

Laurent . Try to do a better picture signature.
Below is a picture EK II 39/57 "3" from my collection.
It is specific for Deumer wide area around the number.

                        Best regards.
