    Time on my hands.................

so I created an alternative way to display some of my 57ers, a recreation of a "Ordenkissen" or funeral award/orders pillow.............
Get a black velvet 12" x 12" cushion cover, a filler and a selection of 57er awards and a copy cuff title, and voilĂ  !
My selection was inspired by Waffen SS Officer Karl Nicolussi-Leck, of the Wiking Division...............Makes for a quite effective display !
    Prost ! Steve.

To be honest I'd use just one of those tanks, its getting a bit busy around the base of the cushion. I both love and hate the idea of the cushion. I love the idea as the funeral pillow is one of the great ways of honouring soldiers. I feel a little weird about it because I used to work in the funeral industry and so made up many cushions like this for funerals. It reminds me of sad but proud families and the amazing exploits of many brave people.

Tasteful presentation, I would just hang the EK2 a little higher ... but that's only my opinion

                  Hi Steve,

                  Great display!!

Anytime awards and model tanks/airplanes are combined in a display you get my attention!
Neat idea with the inclusion of the Ordenkissen in the display.

                  Best,

                  Jeff
