    Assmann's Reiter badge ??

    Hello my Friends,

some days ago I've found a great Reiterabzeichen.

The pin system looks like Assmann !!! I've NEVER saw Reiter made by someone else than S&L..... So I think it could be rare piece....

    What do you think?

Did they continue to use their mark after the war? I think they did, but just checking. No indications of a mark anywhere on this. As an aside, I used to be as thin as this rider once Not any more.

Hi! Tony!! They certainly did use the stylised "A" in the 57 era, and on some 57 pieces, but I think I read somewhere that in later years they were taken over by another company, who kept on the Assmann name on some products??
Hopefully someone can confirm or not???

                Just found the info again!!
Assmann went bankrupt in 1992, and the different parts of the business were bought by various companies. The badges and medals were taken over by MEDITEC Branscheid GmbH who now own the "Assmann" name, and the stylised "A" logo, which they use on their products today!!

They must really hate the faker who use the A on just about everything. If they could pin them down they could destroy the barstools for copyright infringement.

I think it is the current S&L model.

Here is the link that shows the current Fahrerabzeichen
