Gentlemen...my rather salty silver grade Luftwaffe transport spange/clasp awarded to transport and glider crews for 60 flights. This piece is of late production, that is after 1968, as evident by its "open hinge block"..see photographs, still in my view a nice award, note the loss of finish to the rear, use or misuse ?

I like it! I think the wear is no issue and it is a fine example of this series of LW clasp.

The loss of finish IMO is from wear. Another super example ! Tom

Nice clasp Steve, again a later one, but again, a really nice example!!
I really like the finish and the look of the piece, I also would agree, that the loss of finish on the reverse, especially on the pin, is consistant with wear!!!!
