    Army Paratrooper badge.......

Gentlemen..my rather nice "Fallshirmshutzenabzeichen des Heeres" or Army paratroop badge, having a gilded wreath and silvered eagle unlike the Luftwaffe version whose finish is the reverse colours, upon examination it is to be classed a late production piece, that is after 1968 due to its open hinge block, but due to its detail and quality, I would say late 60's early 70's, when IMO quality was still good.
A St u L made piece, although not as desirable as an early production version still a rare badge...............not as common as its Luftwaffe brother.
    Prost ! Steve.

Very nice Steve!! As Tom said, rare and beautiful!!
I think this is actually an early example of the open hingeblock type, especially with that style of pin, and the quality of the finish!
I wouldn't put this one much later than about 68???
        Excellent!!!!!!!!!
