Numbered General Assault Badge

The strike on this one just slays me....I LOVE it...what an eagle....thoughts on this as well please....

This is an early numbered ASA with closed hingeblock and narrow catch.
The wings have no cut outs so i would think it is produced mid 60's.
You don't see these numbered asa that much.

What i find strange is that we see the number 50 on this type of ASA.
I would expect a round badge as the 25, normally this type is for 75 and 100.
For me it is difficult to give an explanation for this. Maybe a mistake of the guy that made it?

Watch out with the stickers because after a while they can leave a mark on the badge and that would be a pitty.

Thanks for the tip on the stickers...have seen that in my early days and I change them out about every 1-2 months...that way they don't have a chance to etch into the badge, and I not only get to see them, but get to play with them on a regular kind of basis...LOL...and for the info on the item..much appreciated..

Again a great badge, especially in earlier form, and interesting to see the "50" on this one, which is actually the badge for 75 & 100 as Stijn said!
I would also ditch the stickers, left for too long, they will leave a mark that probably wont be removable!
A small card fastened around the pin with a small length of string would be better, these are available to buy!!!
