Miro O...Forgot to mention: if you go to "order of Battle & individual research forum" above, you will find Pinned: Feld post numbers. Enter his number and see what comes up. Worth a try. Tom

      Hi Miro!
A very nice group of pieces!!
With a group like this, it can often be difficult to say 100% for sure, that all the pieces belong together and belonged to the same guy, but in this case, I see no reason really to doubt it, the group makes sense, even though a piece or two is missing!
The button hole mini seems to link them all together, with various Romanian awards in there as well as the Crusade against Communism, the ribbon on its own is also in Romanian style, I thought it might be one of several ribbons used on the Order of the Crown? Hopefully Pierce will know!!
The cased Deumer is very nice, with a typical case that Deumer used for its 57 EK1's!!
Hope you can find out more about the vet, that would add to the history of the group!!
      Very nice!!!!!!!

Thank you, Tom for all advices. I entered the number according to instructions and it did show something!

Thank you, Nigel. You are right with the buttonhole. It was first hint for me...
Yes, there is Bulgarian Bravery Cross with swords - as 16 mm mini, as a separate piece of ribbon, and as a piece of ribbon on buttonhole.
And Deumer EK1 is really mint. Now I have two Deumers. One marked and uncased, second one cased and unmarked...

From the last photo it looks as if there was something else written under the name at some point. A very interesting mystery to solve and some wonderful examples. Are you thinking that the second EKI mini is for an EKII or perhaps an RK. I know there are correct minis for these, but it would be nice to find out. I would assume its a fill in for an EKII.

I tried several spelling combinations of his name. Not even close to any known Knights cross winner, so we can at least rule that possibility out. Who he was ????? Tom

                    Hi Tony,

Both EK1s are of same size and of one sided construction. It can not be neither RK, nor EK2, IMO. I agree with your last assumption, veteran could ignore this fact.

And, I will surely check the case again later!

I am sure he wasn´t RK winner. 5er Pin mini (it´s only on group photo, I forgot to shoot it separately) has only two EK minis, representing EK1 and EK2. Buttonhole decoration is complete as well and there is no RK on it. Minis mounted straight on the ribbons are always EKs. RK must be dangling mini.

Miro, I didn't think he was a RKT, but it never hurts to check anyway. Tom

Looks like there is written same thing as above, just with different hand. Lerchner´s name is barely visible under black debris of Crusade medal, then there are F.P.N. letters and number which looks to be shorter.

I just wanted to explain why I didn´t checked. But for me it was easier, because in the moment, when I got the RKT idea, I was holding his Pin mini in my hands.

I am glad that you enjoy adventure around this grouping as much as me, or maybe more. Honestly, I am quite confused in this moment. On one hand I am happy from my inventory, on the other - as an EK all eras collector (which means not specialised 57 collector), I was interested only in that Deumer case (and maybe in the buttonhole and one EK1 mini)... Needless to say I could earn some cash on splitting this stuff.

But I decided to be fair to Lt. Lerchner and to unwritten law of our hobby. So if here is somebody who will enjoy this grouping as it is, I am open to offers.

And if somebody can offer me another Deumer case in partial trade, as mint as this one, this would be the greatest end to this story for me.

The romanian box is for a service cross (Crucea Serviciul Credincios, 2nd class), look at the sticker on the box.

If I'm not wrong the medal for the crusade against communism was only issued in a paper packet.

Thank you for correcting this. It means, that ribbon shown on this photo belongs to the case.
