    Great pair of bars!!
    Once again, its nice to see the two, wartime & 57er, and compare them!!
    The 57 EK and KVK I think stand up well when compared with the wartime versions, but I have always thought that the design of the eagle on the 57 long service medals is not so good, too cartoony looking, nowhere near as good as the menacing and mean looking bird on the wartime originals!!
    Thanks as always for showing, wonder if you have some more comparisons to show??

      Both are nice medal bars Brien. You are right Nigel. The eagle just doesn't depict the same look at it's wartime counterpart.

            Nigel is spot on. The 57 LS eagle looks like it has clipped wings. I always thought that they should have kept the eagle the same type.

            This is a nice set, especially if both were owned by one vet!

                Hi Brien,

                Nice medal bars! I agree with the others regarding the '57 eagle. It looks to me that the eagle has put on a few pounds! Maybe to honor the increased weight of the '57 veterans in the years since the war!
