Ribbonbar with the Honor Roll Clasp

Hi friends,

this week I can add this nice ribbonbar to my collection.
As so often sadly no name to this bar.But for me it is now one of my favorites bars of my collection.

Hi Patrick!!
Always great to see a ribbonbar with Honor Roll Clasp on it!! We see many RK bars, and many DK bars but the Honor Roll Clasp is much scarcer and doesn't turn up too often!!
As you said, its sad, that yet again, the vets name is lost, but that is unfortubately only too common with both 57 ribbonbars and 57 medalbars!
Still, a super bar, and a great addition to your collection!!

Honor roll clasps are really way harder to find than RK´s and DK´s and you did well to grab that one. It´s a nice honest piece that the vet surely wore with pride.

By now it´s time for a RK bar to complete the "line"

I'm interested that the honour clasp is in first place in front of the EKI. Would it have held that place on a TR ribbon bar? Would it have even appeared on a TR ribbon bar at all or is this a later regulation? This is not questioning this very nice ribbon bar, but actually trying to find out the answers btw.

They did not appear on TR ribbon bars. Worn on a EK2 ribbon from the second button hole only. Tom

Thanks Tom that confirms what I suspected, so only US ribbon bar style post war. I must say I'm very glad they got to wear them in some fashion as these were serious awards for outstanding soldiery.
