Well, after several days, I have had no response from the seller????
Maybe he has already had an offer, and sold it privately?? If not, I guess it will be relisted at some point, but for now, that's about it!!!!

Leave it Nigel. Looks very soft.
To many red flags and last is that it is relisted.

Seems like Tom B is eager to buy, then at least it stays in the community

Wrong.....I don't want it !!! What does "very soft" mean & what are the other red flags ? From 2 pic's I can't see that it's bad ? Tom

While it may be a shame to cut it up someone could buy it and sell pieces exclusively to all us WAF folks!

Is 40 MM (4cm) an acceptable width for a 57er RK? I thought the regulation width was 50mm.

How do you know its 40cm, have you found the listing? I can't, but will keep trying. If its 40cm I have a length of that which came with a nice fillerfake BO.

I am with Matthieu. I would want to see the edges.

If authentic, this would be a nice find (and make many on WAF happy), if it was split up.

                      Hi Guys!
No, I wont be buying it! Mainly because i'm not an RK collector, if I was, and if its good, then I wouldn't hesitate!!
That last picture doesn't help much IMO, it could go either way, good or fake!
I think we would need to see a damn good closeup to know, good enough to count the white threads, see the edging and weave, and know the widths of the ribbon and each segment!!
If anyone wants to risk it, the starting price is now down to 130 Euro's, but I would urge caution, and ask for closeup pics first!!!

I am interested but I am hesitant as agian, it is only 40 mm wide (per the listing).

Does anyone know the standard widths fro 57er RK ribbon? Does anyone have an original 57er with 40mm wide ribbon that they know is legit? Again, I thought it should be a bit wider but I could be wrong.

Although I haven't owned any examples myself, some RK ribbons were 40mm, both wartime and 57er!!
So, I wouldn't let that rule it out as being good! To be honest, the only 57er RK ribbons that I have seen were from the 70's, but that doesn't mean some earlier ribbons could also have been this width!
40mm is also the same width as used on Austrian style tri-fold ribbons, but it clearly says "Ritterkreuz" on this one!!!

Hi Nigel, I've looked through this entire post and I see no where where the size is mentioned. All of a sudden we know it's 40mm ? How did that info come to be known ?? Tom

The seller says its 4cm in the re-listing, I don't know if it was mentioned in the original listing or not??

Since the seller seems to be a secret and only a few have the info, my opinion on the ribbon will have to wait. Tom
