Maybe you can see on the frame that there might have been some die issues or someone got a little carried away putting the frame together.

                Hi Rudy!!
I've been looking at your new RK and OLS, and from what you say, its sounds like theres something unusual or maybe controversial about the RK?
I must admit, the less than perfect joints and soldering are something I haven't seen before on an RK like this, but I don't know what else i'm missing, if there is, please tell us!!!
The Oaks and Swords look really nice, they don't seem to have developed the 3rd flaw, so should be an earlier set
You are certainly on a roll lately!!!!!!!!
Congrats again, on more great new pieces!!

Nigel - this RK was used for a discussion on the Deumer theory some time ago. It was thought that S&L utilized left over Deumer parts and added their own parts if needed. In this case the OLS. Thought this would be good for your thread on this theory.

                  More LW ribbon bars.

                          Hi Rudy!!
Firstly, another great ribbonbar, really nice DK winners with other great awards on there too. a fine addition!!!
                          Now, onto the RK.....
It is already known I think, that S&L did indeed buy up Deumers leftover stock when they ceased 57 production, the resulting EK hybrids are proof of that!
So, the idea that they would use up any leftover Schickle frames makes sense!
You would need to study the finish very closely on the RK to see if it matches Deumer or S&L!!

                                Thanks Rudy!!!
For me, I think the Schickle = Deumer theory is pretty much settled, unless any evidence to the contrary emerges sometime in the future??
But if we can prove that this particular Schickle frame ended up, sometime later, at S&L, and was finished and sold by them, that would be another confirmation I believe! And would also make this a very interesting piece!!!!!!
