If you search with care, you can find a good item from time to time

That's very true, its surprising what can be hiding, particularly in shops. As I said on another thread I picked up a very nice Souval Luft para last night very very cheaply. However, neither place is the best place for serious medal shopping. If you find a good inexpensive reliable seller they can be a good place for fillers.

I stay away from ebay & some dealers. I look at only certain things on ebay and since I don't collect any more it makes it fun again. Last week I found a very nice KvK 2nd class in a junk shop I go in from time to time. Nice bronze made #10 maker marked for $12.00, so I had to buy it !

There were SO MANY of these at the SOS, I lost count. However most being sold as repro's for around $50.00. Still too much. Tom

At least that's cheaper than on his site. These are good for mannequin displays and public museums where people steal items all the time, but really they're not much chop.

Sure would help if more people followed forums. If they did there would be less crooks making money ! Tom

I think Morigi sells them for about 85 GBP so the buyer has paid a lot for a second hand copy.

                                I'm not buying the story

                                Hi guys,

How about this one for fantasy ....

                                http://www.ebay.de/itm/Original-57er...item2a3c373065

I very much doubt this to be the 1957 KCfor Guther Rall. The pictures and signatures are probably correct.
But it's not because his signature is on an unworn (!!!) piece of ribbon that the KC is actually his.

For me, the entire group is matched

KC - "C" frame with 1st pattern core
                                OLS - postwar Souval made
Ribbon - modern fake, I've seen these floating around
Etui - again modern fake, commonly found on eBay

What say you about this 1500 Euro piece of "history" ???
