Thanks Nigel - for the hardcore 57er collector easily spotted, but deceiving for the novice.

Agreed. They almost look like charactertures of 57ers, cartoon like. The Kvks in particularly are very chunky. They raise an interesting question. Are they not fakes, but, in fact, new 57ers being produced according to the laws, but made in China rather than at S&L. As S&L continues to produce these are these from China simply new opposition, taking over from the likes of Deumur?
