Gentlemen............we have already discussed this sellers LW recon clasp, a check on his other 1957 items shows all cast crap ! not a good one among them, and he has multiples of some......do not deal with !

I just would like to say thanks for everybody who spends time to judge my 57er stock.

Based on your verdicts, I removed the German Crosses and one KVK First Class Without Swords.

I have recently relisted them as remakes and reduced the price.

I am going to go on uploading the photos of the listed stocks, if you see anything questionable 57er described as genuine in the eBay shop, this is only because those ones haven't been checked here but i post 4 items per day for checking the originality here.

I will not list any 57er in the future without posting them here, I really do appreciate your thoughts and thanks for your help again!!!

While this dealer does sell some good pieces, there are more fakes than good, and I don't know if you were aware, but a couple of years ago Rudiger sold a 57 badge to this dealer, it was in excellent condition, soon after, they put it back up for sale, and it had been artificially aged, but definitely the same badge!!

Currently on E-Bay these pair of cast crap badges ! described as thus.... "A German 1957 Replacement General Assault Badge in Bronze Grade 1980s Made" & "A German 1957 Replacement Infantry Assault Badge in Bronze Grade 1980s Made"............from seller "jcrossallsorts"...who I believe is Jamie Cross, tut tut Jamie, naughty !

That's not cool is it, a well known dealer, who can obviously recognise a cast copy when he see's one, selling pieces like this! No wonder he doesn't put them on his own site, does he say anything about them in the listing? What are they described as, is a maker mentioned??

Mind you on his site, he blatantly sells late examples at early prices and more, when in fact I believe he knows the difference between early and late, but craftily fails to mention what type of hinge the award has, often masking this essential detail with his camera angles.....this of course from a man who allegedly wrote a book wth Gordon Williamson about 1957 awards, so he will know.....a naughty boy !

Clever wording, no mention of S&L, it could have been made in the 80's, and it could be described as "for the collectors market"
So you can't really knock him on what he says, its more about what he doesn't say!
Bottom line......crappy cast fake!!!!!!!!!

You know, I've just gone back to look at this pair and they really do look like they've been made out of cake mix. The second one particularly has enough air pockets in it to allow you to breathe on Mars for 6 months. Terrible rubbish.

Foxtrott29 is selling these pieces, including fake EK & DK, coupled up with the usual pin!
This guy is from Hamburg and I believe could be the same guy who has several Ebay usernames, inc. Uwefuchs among others, all from Hamburg, all include fake EK1's with a variety of pin types, and vets association pins.......
