    57er RK with Oaks

I would like to show my 57er RK wth Oaks.
The cross (with magnetic core) and the Oaks should be (very?) early made. The Oaks are very well made with polished highlights.
The case should be a modern one. How about the ribbon?

Very nice looking 2nd pattern core RK ! The ribbon looks fine to me. The Oaks also. I believe the case is a modern copy however (IMO) If it's ever for sale, let me know !!! Tom

      Hi!!
Bit of a mixed bunch here I think??
The RK is a decent 2nd pattern, and has the bleedover from the beading on the 6 o'clock arm!
It could be a later 60's piece???
      Bleedover.........

As Tom said, the case looks like a modern made repro, as I think the ribbon is too, no proper scalloped edge to it, and the weave is very loose!
The Oaks are a later set, the earlier ones would have had these areas cutout and finished........

And on an earlier set, there was no flat edge around the reverse...............

Nigel hits the nail on the head ( Dutch expression, maybe wrong translation ).

It would rate the KC mid sixties, the oaks later ( seventies maybe ??? ).
Both ribbon and etui are very modern made ... looks like a set put together.

But nice bonus is the "bleeding flaw" on the KC ....

Not a bad idea ... the cross itself is good, you can replace ribbon and etui at later stage

Mmmmh, maybe Michael only wanted to show it ........ without selling in mind

Very nice and early 2nd pattern with later oaks. Everything has been said about that set.

Thanks for showing Michael. You provided good images with which to evaluate the cross.

All has been said and it's a collectible cross. Congrats!
