Bargain Bar Has Arrived!!

Hi Guys!! The medalbar I bought a few day ago for a very small amount has arrived today, so I've taken some photo's to share with you!
I have to say, that it is even better than I hoped for, and the EK2 is the one still missing from my collection! Anyway, we will start with some views of the medalbar.............

Ok, onto the medals themselves..
EK2 by S&L small size frame 42mm x 42mm, dating from the early period I think, late 50's/ early 60's?

Hindenburg Cross Combatants version with swords, by Deumer, this is a double marked piece with a "3" on the ribbon ring, and the "WD" mark on the reverse of the medal itself..........

There are a few possibilities for this medal....
1. it is a 30's original possibly the vets own piece.
2. it was an original piece, leftover and used postwar by Deumer
3. Deumer produced these again in the 57 period, to the same spec as the original, the reason I think that is possible, is because of all the 57 period medalbars with Hindenburg crosses on them, there are more of these Deumer made pieces than any other? Could be a coincidence....maybe not

Reverse detail...
I see the hooks for the EK2 and KVK2 have been bent in, so those two medals don't hang quite as low as they normally would, in order to make all three medals look level when mounted I guess??

Finally, back to the EK2!!
As I said, this is in the smaller frame size, which I think was used on some of the earliest 57 period Imperial cored EK's by S&L. I had that size in the EK1, but only the normal size in EK2!!
Heres a couple of comparison pics.
First the EK2 from this bar alongside the same sized (42mm x 42mm) EK1....

And here it is alongside the larger, full size Imperial cored EK2 by S&L (44mm x 44mm) That is the same frame used on S&L's 57 cored EK's!!
All the small size framed EK's are early or very early, while the larger size frame is found right through to the open hingeblock period!
Not 100% sure if the small size came first, or if they were produced alongside each other at least for a few years???

So please give me your thoughts on the period the bar itself was made!!!!

That's a very nice bar Nigel, congrats! Interesting to see the mm on the ribbon ring of the hindeburg cross, I'm used to seeing the incuse style '3'.
