    EK II 1939/57 mm "4".

    Hi.
This is my new cross. It's not a big deal, but it makes me happy because it has the character and stamp manufacturer.
I know it's early. But the question for you. What years of production?!

    Best regards.

    Hi Maciej!!
    A nice example of a very early S&L EK2!!
It is thought that only crosses from the very early production period (1958-1960) carries the "4" MM on the ribbon ring!!!
There has been discussion recently as to why, even on these early MM'd EK2's. there are two reverse core dies used, one has the numbers of "1813" all level, others, like yours, have the "3" raised slightly higher then the other numbers!!
    Anyway, a great early piece!!!!!!!!!

        Very Nice "4" !

Hello Maciej G. ! As Nigel said a very nice early EK2 !! IMO S&L had a bunch of 4 marked rings left over from war time production and use them on their early 57 production. Tom
