    Deschler KVK2 Identified!!!!!!

The newly arrived Deschler KVK1, has lead me now to the KVK2 by the same maker i think!!!
We have seen this one before, its the one with the larger central disc, the disc size also matches the Deschler KVK1.................

I originally thought this was a Deumer, but work by our friends on other fora prooved that was wrong, so this became "unknown maker"......

To try and be sure it was a match to the Deschler KVK1, i made a microscopic examination of all the details, flaws etc.
And i'm confident they do match, heres a good example of two flaws on the wreath, first the KVK1.............

      And the KVK2..................

            That is more than interesting,
it looks like, that the KVK is indeed a Deschler KVK II !!!
            Very nice pictures Nigel.

Thanks Matthias, hopefully i've got the right makers for the right KVK's this time, its funny how such a common medal can be such a puzzle to solve!
When i get time, i'll try and show both classes of KVK by all known makers!

Interesting observation! For me it looks like a Deschler, too!

I guess the KVK 2 is as uncommon as the KVK 1 from Deschler?

                Best regards

                Nils

                  Hi Nils!!
There are a few Deschler KVK2's around, i have another one on a medalbar, and i've seen a couple more sell on Ebay, but i dont know if the buyers spotted tham as a rarer variant, or just a nice looking cross??

                      You're welcome Nils!
Heres the only other one i own, on a medalbar.
The Deschler is the first KVK2 with swords, interestingly, the KVK2 without swords next to it is, i believe, a Deumer.............

                      Closer view of Deschler................

You can clearly see the larger central disc on the Deschler!!

                          Regards,

Way to tie the evidence together Holmes!

It's great to unveil the makers of the medals we love and you've done well here! What great luck in finding the KvKI and great work in securing it! It's taken the guess work out of the KvKII identification!

You're a credit to the 57er community Nigel and I appreciate your enthusiasm for collecting!
