Thanks for identifying the photos. After seeing so many, I at times forget that one of these vets has already been showcased.

Still ... it's nice finding other images of the vets.

      Cheers!

You are doing a great job sourcing these photos mate , well done !! A few of them are mine which have found their way to other places it's always interesting to see how photos you posted on forums etc end up elsewhere

        Thanks Paul,

I always give a source (or try to) when I "borrow" images -- hopefully that action will keep me in good graces of the original owners.

          Regards,
          Sepp.
          Sepp,

Thanks again! You know ... (looking sheepishly) I knew they were not 57ers ... but who could resist showing such images when a vet wears his original medals? And, sooo long after the war. I try to stick to the thread subject; alas, but I have failed.

But .... if ever I can find images of Otto Skorzeny wearing his medals while outside Germany .... I'd post them here as well.

          Hopefully I will be forgiven.

                Guy & Sepp !

I think your doing a great job on this subject ! Thanks to you both ! I agree while most Vets wore the 57 type after the war, there were some rebels who did not. They are still "Post War" and should be in this thread for sure ! Tom

By the way, what is the Fallschirmjaeger plaque behind Oblt. Vitali? Was he a paratrooper? And ... (off topic) can you post a larger scan of the plaque? It looks very very interesting.

                            Cheers,
