    Hi Kees!!!
Thanks for showing us this great photo!! Pics of 57ers in wear are hard to find!!!
The EK1 looks like its an Imperial style, possibly his original, while the KVK1, is a 57er!!!!!!!
The WB could also be a WW1 example.........any thoughts guys???
    Thanks again Kees!!!!!!!happy0065.gif

      Super Photo !

Thanks for posting this photo !!!! I think your correct Nigel, it looks like his original WW1 EK1 & wound badge, while the KvK1 is a 57er. Must have been taken in the 60's. Those WW1 vets were still around in big numbers, but they didn't often wear thier decorations in public. A pretty rare pic ! Thanks Kees !!! Tom

Could you make a better scan of his ribbon bar?

The ribbon bar seems to have 1914 Iron Cross, KVK2, maybe Bavarian Military Merit Cross, Honour Cross, maybe Long Service....the rest I cannot make out, though the last two ribbons could be for the Hungarian and Bulgarian WW1 Commemorative Medals. It is an interesting ribbon bar....I think it could be his war-time bar.

                  Kind regards
                  Pierce

                    I agree with Pierce

I agree with Pierce, I would bet it is his war time ribbon bar....no reason for it not to be ! Tom
