I agree with my friend, Mathijs.

The only thing I find a bit puzzling, and it may just be the photos, but I've never seen a Deumer NKS without finely burnished highlights. Are they there and I simply don't see them or is this clasp unique in that aspect?

        Thanks!
This the CCC early, average, late?
        Approximate year of release?
Why there is no back die?

          Hi George1959,

Deumer did not use a back die, or back plate in their CCC design. The clasp is correct as you see it by Deumer's design.

All Deumer products are considered very early to early in 57er terms. This one still has me scratching my head as I'm used to seeing burnished highlights on ALL Deumer CCC's.

Thank you very much for sharing it with us!

I understand exactly what Mike means.
But I am not sure if it is the picture that decieves us.

There is nothing wrong with the clasp.
But the finish is different (more whitisch and no burnishing) than the ones I saw before.

I will show a picture where you can see the difference.
The burnisching is on the knife and oaks and the finisch looks more like silver.

Agreed Luud, it is more white in color, bit I thought that might be from the result of a scan versus a photograph.

Can you please provide some photos for us George? This is a very interesting CCC!

I bought this sign, but yet didn't receive on by mail. As soon as I will receive, I will make and I will place its photo.

                    Thank you George.

From what we've seen so far, the clasp appears to be a variant in the way it has been finished. We look forward to seeing the photos!

An original Deumer clasp, but again, this is the first I've seen without burnishing. Perhaps it's the photos, but the silver finish is more white than typical Deumer finishes. Very unusual black paint as well. I really don't know what to make of those features.

Most likely refinished and handvaulted after it left the factory.
