Fantastic and nicely displayed group, Luud!
If S&L is the maker of this badge that it had to have used a wartime die because there is one distinct difference between this one and a "normal" 57er of S&L.
The feature is the number of dots on top.
Yours has 5 dots while a standard 57er has only 4.

Mike was so friendly to indicate it with a circle.
I'm not dismissing S&L as a possible maker still there are a few things i can't figure out...
First of all the setup: i've never seen this kind of setup on other S&L badges and it reminds us very much to the wartime maker 30. Do we know of 57ers badges with the same type of hinge and catch?
Let's assume this is a denazified badge:
would it be possible to do it so good? And afterwards they had to have refinished it i assume who would have done that?
For me these a few questions i can't answer for the moment but maybe somebody else can.
Be it as it may for the moment this one is another one on my 57er mysterylist and i'll sure keep my eyes open for similar set up and design on 57ers.
Best regards
