    Cased S&L EK1- new addition

Just got this cased S&L EK1. The case looks old, not sure if its wartime or not, hinge and catch are magnetic, but the inner tray is stuck firmly, so i cant see underneath Dont want to force it!!
There is a strip of EK2 ribbon in the case, which looks either early 57 era or wartime, theres a hole in the middle, and some other marks on it, which i think could be from a stickpin?? not sure, but theres no stickpin now!!
The cross is quite an early one, has the tapering pin, thin catch and solid hingeblock. Magnetic core.
Heres a few pics, starting with the case.......

DANG Nigel!Does the EK well ever run dry???

I don't have one case and you post two in two days! Haha!

                Yet another excellent addition!

Interesting that there is an EKII ribbon. Wonder why? Any idea? Just for display perhaps?

I wouldn't force the tray. It's a nice enough case as is! Let sleeping dogs lie!

Are the four "marks" on the ribbon holes? They almost look they could be for an Ehrenblattspangen, but I'm only seeing a pic.

I like it! You've done very well, yet again!

                  Thanks Mike!!!
The 4 marks are'nt proper holes, they dont go right thru the ribbon, they look more like something has been sat there and rubbed against the ribbon!!

                      Thanks Luud!!!
@Mike, now i have more time to examine the ribbon, the bottom two marks do look more like holes, but without removing the ribbon, i'm still not sure if they go thru or not, the top two marks are actually threads, maybe once holding something in place? i dont know??
